Generation and manipulation of the broadband chiral terahertz waves: (a) Typical time dependence of the electric-field vector for a chiral terahertz waveform generated from a spintronic-metasurface emitter. The simulation result under the same conditions is plotted for comparison. (b) The parametric plots of the terahertz electric fields parallel (E//) and perpendicular (E┴) to the metasurface stripes under different angles of the magnetic field (θH). The results demonstrate continuous and flexible tuning of the polarization states of the terahertz waves with the external magnetic field.
