Caption
LUM015 (pronounced loom-fifteen) is the first protease-activated cancer probe to be tested and deemed safe in a human clinical trial at the Duke University School of Medicine. After being injected into a patient with a cancerous tumor, it illuminates cancer cells to guide surgeons to help them remove all of the diseased tissue.
