Scientist Katherine Meacham-Hensold uses spectral analysis to measure the photosynthetic capacity of plants to find out how well they can turn sunlight and carbon dioxide into the sugars that drive yield. In a recent study, her team found this higher-throughput tool also works on genetically modified crops.
