Editing RNA Sequence to Fight Triple-Negative Breast Cancer (IMAGE)
Caption
Scripps Research Chemistry Professor Matthew Disney, Ph.D., discusses RNA editors with recently graduated doctoral student Matthew Costales, Ph.D., and an undergraduate intern. In their PNAS paper, Disney and Costales describe successfully editing oncogenic RNA from triple-negative breast cancer, killing the cancer and stopping its spread, while leaving healthy cells untouched in mice.
