Tree-Ring Research and Forecasting Forest Productivity (IMAGE)

In the Laboratory of Tree-Ring Research (University of Arizona), Assistant Professor Margaret Evans holds three increment cores that are part of the U. S. Forest Service's Forest Inventory and Analysis Program's tree-ring network. These tree-ring samples were collected in thousands of forest inventory plots across the eight interior western U. S. states, making the data network a uniquely representative archive of how trees have responded to past climate variation.
