Corpus Callosum (IMAGE)
Caption
Forebrain of a mouse genetically engineered to express the mutated gene that causes Timothy syndrome (TS) shows fewer neurons contributing to a brain structure responsible for long-distance communications between the left and right hemispheres, called the corpus callosum, compared to the same structure in a control animal (Ctrl). Human iPSCs from TS patients showed a similar reduction.
