Utah State University was selected for the 2018 cohort of the Howard Hughes Medical Institute Exclusive Excellence Initiative. With the HHMI $1 million grant, USU will establish a program to support students from Blanding's two-year campus who wish to pursue four-year degrees at the land grant university's main campus.
