USU Undergrad Researchers Collect Water Samples

USU Eastern, Blanding students, from left, Kylie Reese and Tyanna White, collect water quality data from an impounded wetland in northern Utah's Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge, as part of an EPA-funded study led by USU Biology professor Michelle Baker. Utah State is part of the 2018 cohort of institutions selected to join the Howard Hughes Medical Institute Inclusive Excellence Initiative. With its $1 million HHMI grant, USU will establish a program to provide academic and social support to students who transfer from the two-year Blanding campus to USU's main campus.
