Researchers modified a drug that was previously effective only against Gram-positive bacteria to fight Gram-negative bacteria. The redesigned drug , Debio-1452-NH3, increased survival in septic mice infected with Acinetobacter baumannii, pictured, Klebsiella pneumoniae and Escherichia coli.
