Caption
3D-printed bioreactors filled with autologous bone (top) or a synthetic graft (bottom) are key components of a new technique to grow custom-fit bone implants to repair jawbone injuries from a patient's own rib. The technique was created at Rice University and the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston.
