Virus-infected Neurons (IMAGE)
Caption
Cell bodies and axons (green) were infected with a virus (red) for 24 hours. Neuronal nuclei were stained blue. (More detailed caption information: Superior cervical ganglionic (SCG) neurons were infected with a PRV recombinant expressing a fluorescent fusion of PRV envelope protein gD (mCherry-gD, red) for 24 hours. SNAP25 (green) is a neuronal protein involved in synaptic vesicle transmission. Neuronal nuclei were stained with DAPI (blue).)
