An artificial muscle built from a sandwich of soft, stretchable elastomers and carbon nanotubes electrodes. This type of actuator could be used in everything from wearable devices to soft grippers, laparoscopic surgical tools, entirely soft robots or artificial muscles in more complex robotics.
