This graph shows patients' brain growth compared to the average. The researchers looked at age (x axis) and brain volume (y axis). The parallel lines in black show the average brain growth trajectory of infants (center line) and the one and two standard deviations from the average. Female patients who received both shunt implantation and endoscopic surgery are shown preoperatively, at six months and 12 months.
