Kang Lab Identifies Path to Control Dangerous Protein SNAI2 (IMAGE)
Caption
A drug-resistant protein named SNAI2 helps cancers metastasize and shields cancer from both the immune system and chemotherapy. But now Princeton University's Yibin Kang (lower right) and his colleagues have found a way to use the cell's recycling system to control SNAI2, providing a new possibility for treatments. Their findings appear in two new papers in Genes and Development. This photo of the Kang lab includes two of the studies' key contributors: Hanqiu Zheng (center front, next to Kang) and Wenyang Li (center back, in a red jacket).
