Massive Protobinary IRAS 16547-4247

Caption

Each protostar is surrounded by a small gas disk and they are embedded in the larger disk. Both protostars eject molecular gas outflows, while one emanates a collimated jet which collides with the surrounding gas and creates bright spots along the stream.
