Association of Mental Health Conditions with Sexual Assault

Victims of sexual assault are significantly more likely than others to experience specific negative mental health conditions, a new study finds. This figure reflects the probability that a randomly selected person who has experienced a sexual assault will have more severe symptoms than a randomly selected person who has not. The baseline probability due to chance is 50 percent.
