Interface Length Matters for Catalysts with Active Supports with Graph (IMAGE)
Caption
By precisely designing a series of nanocrystals with different sizes, shapes and compositions, researchers showed that the efficiency of certain catalysts depends on the length of the interface between their two materials. The above graph shows that the larger the percentage of the nanocrystal's atoms were at this interface, the better it was in a model catalytic reaction. An unlabeled version of this image is also available.
