Connectomics movie (VIDEO)

This video shows a single axon (dark blue) synapsing onto one of its post-synaptic targets. The video then zooms out to reveal that this one synapse is part of a much larger axon which spans a very large volume. Each of the multi-colored cells are just a few of the cells that the dark blue axon synapses onto as it travels from primary visual cortex to a higher visual area.
