Touch-based Navigation Devices on Steering Wheel (IMAGE)
Caption
Two devices, mounted on the steering wheel of a driving simulator, convey navigation information (turn left or turn right) to the driver. The driver's index fingertips rest on two IBM ThinkPad TrackPoint buttons (not visible) that move left or right by about 1 millimeter (a twenty-fifth of an inch) to tell the driver which way to turn.
