There is a lot of evidence that by making it harder for teenagers to buy tobacco, it's possible to cut smoking rates in teens. But now for the first time, researchers at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis have found that state laws and policies that keep teens away from tobacco also appear to reduce smoking rates later on when those teenagers become adults.
