Laboratory that Produced Entangled Photon Triplets (IMAGE)
Caption
This image shows the University of Waterloo laboratory where scientists entangled three photons. NIST's single-photon detectors were chilled to near absolute zero in the refrigerator (large blue cylinder). The experiment had to be performed in the dark because of the need to detect very low light levels.
