Snapshots of a Tumor Model

These are snapshots of a tumor model with tumor cells growing in a healthy tissue at two time points and under different nutrient conditions. Each proliferative cell gives rise to two identical daughter cells, they enter the quiescent state in which they await a signal to replicate. Cells under nutrient stress (hypoxic) eventually die. Programmed cell death (apoptosis) is shown in red.
