ORNL researchers Martin Wissink (L) and Ke An (R) worked with colleagues to design and test a running combustion engine prototype in the VULCAN beamline at the Spallation Neutron Source at ORNL, proving a new, non-destructive capability to analyze materials for advanced vehicles at the atomic level in a realistic setting.
