Brain Structure Smaller in Kids Depressed as Preschoolers (AUDIO)

Child psychiatry researchers at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis have found that a brain region involved in emotion is smaller in children who had clinical depression when they were preschoolers than it is in children who never were depressed. They've also found that excessive guilt can cause the same changes in the brain.
