Sebastian Treusch, a former graduate student in Whitehead Member Susan Lindquist's lab and now a postdoctoral research associate at Princeton University, worked with other members of the Lindquist lab to identify connections between genetic risk factors for Alzheimer's disease and the effects of amyloid beta, a peptide toxic to nerve cells in the brains of AD patients.
