Edge of discovery: The method allows precision tracking of cell edge changes over time, where i, ii, and iii correspond to the binding stages of a typical interaction between a small molecule and surface membrane protein: (i) Koff (II) Kon (III) Koff. The small molecule-receptor binding event, seen in ii, causes a distortion in the cell membrane shape, while iii denotes dissociation of the small molecule. Red and blue rectangles represent the region of interest for differential detection.
