This image shows the ratio of track forecast errors of assimilating ALL available data and dropwindsonde data according to CNOP, FSV, and Random (Ran) guidance, to assimilating no data at (a) 24 h and (b) 36 h using MM5 for 20 cases. Positive (negative) percentages indicate improvement (deterioration).
