Parental care of eggs in 12 species from 10 genera of Neotropical glassfrogs (Centrolenidae). Both the caregiving sex (male or female) and duration of care change across linages: (a-c) Species with prolonged care brood their eggs throughout embryonic development (note well developed embryos), and (d-l) those with a brief bout of egg-brooding just following oviposition.
