Foraging Arenas for Major and Minor Ant Workers (VIDEO)

This video shows Eeample foraging arenas from nest groups of Major and Minor workers. The left arena shows TSA-treated Majors (larger ants) foraging next to untreated Minors (smaller workers in right arena). The majority of Camponotus floridanus workers that forage are Minor workers. However, upon injection of drugs that increase histone acetylation, Major workers (larger ants in left arena) are much more likely to forage for sugar water (liquid in center of arena).
