Shayn Peirce-Cottler, Ph.D., (left) and Silvia Blemker, Ph.D., of the University of Virginia, have launched an ambitious new effort to figure out why promising treatments for Duchenne muscular dystrophy consistently fail. The work has received a $2.5 million grant from the National Institutes of Health.
