Horner Graphical Abstract (IMAGE) Duke University Caption A chemical tag on the RNA of the hepatitis C virus called N6-methyladenosine (m6A) has been found to slow the production of new viruses. A protein called YTHDF that binds to m6A is known to congregate around the lipid droplets where viral particles are manufactured, slowing the production of new viruses.
