Orientation of Actin Filaments Imaged in Live Cells (1 of 2) (IMAGE)
Caption
Orientation of actin filaments imaged in live cells with the instantaneous fluorescence polarization microscope. Orientation corresponds to the color wheel at bottom left. Due to the resolution limit of light microscopes, actin filament orientation in cells was previously accessible only with electron microscopes and fixed cells.
