New research shows that sea level rise has made is possible for a burrowing crab species to become a key player in salt marsh ecosystems in the Southeastern U.S. The image shows a marsh creekhead cleared of its cordgrass by the voracious grazing of Sesarma crabs. The clearing of grasses increases the erosion rates of marshland
