IBM Accepts Chairman's Award from National Geographic Society (IMAGE)

Virginia Rometty, IBM's senior vice president and group executive, sales, marketing and strategy, accepted National Geographic's "Chairman's Award," which IBM received for significantly advancing knowledge of the world through its research partnership with National Geographic on the Genographic Project, which is mapping the migratory history of humans. The award was presented by National Geographic Society Chairman and CEO John Fahey (left) and Explorer-in-Residence Spencer Wells, who leads the Genographic Project.
