Generating Cone Shell (VIDEO)
Caption
A simple neural network model of seashell growth can generate realistic mollusk shells based on a simple principle discovered 140 years ago. This computer-generated shell closely resembles the shell of the mollusk Conus gloriamaris, a poisonous marine snail found throughout the Indian and Pacific oceans.
