Drugs that are used to treat Type 2 diabetes also can contribute to unwanted side effects. But now, working with mice, researchers, led by scientists at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, have found that an investigational diabetes drug seems to operate through a different mechanism that may result in fewer side effects.
