The study titled “Association Between Alcohol Consumption, Cognitive Abilities, and Neuropathologic Changes: A Population-Based Autopsy Study,” published in Neurology® on April 9, 2025, has been retracted by the authors.
This research was featured in an April 9, 2025, press release titled, "How does heavy drinking affect the brain? Eight or more drinks per week linked to signs of injury in the brain."
