JMIR Publications’ outstanding CiteScore performance underscores its leadership in digital health, driven by an unwavering commitment to high-quality, impactful research. “Seeing our portfolio grow to 26 ranked journals, while maintaining a dozen in the top quartile, is a direct result of the high-caliber research our community produces. Our mission-driven staff and editors, alongside our dedicated authors, reviewers, and partners, are key to our journals' influential positions,” said Tiffany I Leung, MPH, MD, FAMIA, scientific editorial director of JMIR Publications. “We’re grateful for their shared commitment to advancing open science in health and medicine.”

Although CiteScore can be one citation-based approach to measuring impact, JMIR Publications recommends that authors and other parties consider alternative metrics, in combination with CiteScore, when assessing a journal’s standing and impact. While proud of its CiteScore rankings, JMIR Publications discourages misuse of citation-based impact scores and emphasizes the overall impact of each journal in its field, rather than individual article citation counts.
