LabMed Discovery (LMD) is an open-access, peer-reviewed international journal published by Elsevier, committed to promoting interdisciplinary collaboration across medicine, biology, and engineering. As part of its mission to advance integrative biomedical research, LMD is now calling for papers in line with its 2025 themed issue.
About the topic:
Brain-computer interface technology has a wide range of application prospects in the field of laboratory medicine. It can not only assist diagnosis and treatment, but also promote in-depth research on brain functions and diseases. For example assist disease diagnosis: it can assist in the diagnosis of certain neurological diseases, such as epilepsy and Parkinson's disease, by analyzing the electrical activity of the brain; guide rehabilitation treatment: for motor dysfunction caused by disease or injury it can help patients control external devices, such as prosthetics or wheelchairs, through their thinking, so as to carry out rehabilitation trainingassess neurological function: it can beused to assess the neurological function status of the brain, such as consciousness level, cognitive function, etc., which is particularly important for patients in coma or vegetative state, promote mental illness research: it can be used to study and diagnose mental diseases, such as depression, anxiety, etc., and explore the neural mechanisms of these diseases by analyzing EEG signals; assist diagnosis and treatment of neurodevelopmental disorders: it has potential application value in the diagnosis and treatment of neurodevelopmental disorders such as ADHD and autism, that assist in behavioral and cognitive training; promote laboratory medicine research: it has promoted research in the field of laboratory medicine, in-depth understanding of brain function and disease mechanisms, and contributed to the development of new diagnostic tools and treatments.
Scope of articles (Potential topics include butare not limited to):
- Application of Brain-Computer Interface in Laboratory Medicine.
- Application Prospect of Brain-Computer Interface Technology in Diagnosis and Treatment of Mental Diseases.
- Application of Cerebral Electrical Activity Detection Technique in Disease Diagnosis.
- Brain computer interface and innovation of
- disease diagnosis technology and method.
