Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine has established the first international office for LabMed Discovery at the University of Rome Tor Vergata, marking a significant milestone in the journal's global expansion. The new office will serve as a strategic hub for fostering academic collaboration between Chinese and European researchers, facilitating joint research initiatives, and promoting the exchange of innovative medical-engineering knowledge. This partnership was formalized through a signing ceremony attended by representatives from both institutions and the Chinese Embassy in Italy, demonstrating strong institutional support for international scientific cooperation.

The Rome office represents a key component of LabMed Discovery's mission to enhance its global visibility and impact as a leading interdisciplinary journal. By creating this overseas base, the journal aims to attract more international submissions, organize cross-border academic events, and strengthen ties between medical researchers worldwide. The initiative aligns with Shanghai Jiao Tong University's broader strategy to elevate its academic publications to world-class standards and contribute to the advancement of medical science through international collaboration.

This expansion reflects the growing importance of global partnerships in scientific research and academic publishing. The Rome office will not only facilitate knowledge exchange between Chinese and European medical communities but also provide a platform for addressing global health challenges through collaborative research. With this strategic move, LabMed Discovery reinforces its commitment to bridging medical innovation across continents while supporting Shanghai Jiao Tong University's vision of becoming a leader in international academic exchange and scientific discovery.
