Why: UCSF is revitalizing its Parnassus Heights campus with the construction of a 15-story, state-of-the-art facility, which will house some of the most complex care capacity in the country. This $4.3 billion project will support the vitality and economic strength of the neighborhood and city by generating new jobs and enhancing retail and wellness opportunities.
This event is one of several ways UCSF is engaging neighbors and broader San Francisco community in the project. Other efforts include a 30% local hiring commitment for the project, a 2-for-1 replacement of trees throughout the area, and the development of a new "Park to Peak" greenbelt that will connect the neighborhood to newly restored trails on Mount Sutro."
Touch-A-Truck is organized and hosted by the UCSF Office of Community & Government Relations.
