Flatt, Siette, and Kopera-Frye and looks forward to their stewardship of the growth, scientific advancement, and real-world impact of these three important journals in the GSA portfolio.”

The Journal of Gerontology, Series B is published by Oxford Journals on behalf of GSA. Its Social Sciences section publishes studies with rigorous methodological approaches, both qualitative and quantitative. Authors are encouraged to submit papers in areas such as anthropology, demography, economics, geography, human development, political science, social work, and sociology.\.

Flatt is an associate professor and director of the Center for Health Disparities Research at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas School of Public Health.

“I am honored to be the next editor-in-chief of the Social Sciences section of The Journals of Gerontology, Series B,” Flatt said. “I want to express my gratitude to Dr. Jessica Kelley for her exceptional leadership, which has expanded our journal’s reach and advanced rigorous social science research on aging. I look forward to continuing our journal’s legacy of fostering interdisciplinary work that explores the complex social dimensions of aging and supporting scholarship that centers the voices and experiences of underrepresented and marginalized populations. I am excited to work alongside such an incredible community of contributors, reviewers, and Editorial Board members as we shape the journal’s future.”

Gerontology & Geriatrics Education is published and owned by Taylor & Francis. It focuses on the exchange of information related to research, curriculum development, program evaluation, classroom and practice innovation, and other topics with educational implications for gerontology and geriatrics.

Kopera-Frye is a professor in the Department of Public Health Sciences at New Mexico State University.

“As incoming editor in-chief for Gerontology & Geriatrics Education, I am thrilled to work with all of you to continue supporting the excellence of the journal and its contributing scholars. This journal has been home to high quality, cutting edge, innovative practices and science in gerontological and geriatric education,” Kopera-Frye said. “I am humbled to be elected EIC and follow a long line of scholarly giants in our field. I look forward to working with the many associate editors, reviewers, contributors, board members, and supporters who make this journal the premier outlet that it is. I am excited to collaborate with Dr. Rona Karasik, prior EIC, who has grown the journal significantly in readership and impact.  I welcome contributions from our outstanding scholars in gerontological and geriatric education — let’s continue this legacy of excellence!.”

The Journals of Gerontology, Series A is published by Oxford Journals on behalf of GSA. Its Medical Sciences section contains peer-reviewed articles on health-related aspects of human aging, such as biomarkers of aging, multisystem physiology of aging, multimorbidity, age-related disability including the cognitive, physical, and psychological aspects of function, all different populations, the oldest old, global health and aging, healthy aging, and health span, frailty, geriatric syndromes, environmental effects on health, and clinical trials of drugs, devices, policies, procedures, and health services.

Siette holds a senior research theme fellowship in health and wellbeing at Western Sydney University and is the deputy director of the MARCS Institute for Brain, Behaviour and Development.

“As the incoming editor-in-chief of The Journal of Gerontology: Medical Sciences, I am both humbled and energized to take up this responsibility,” Siette said. “Under the outstanding leadership of Professor Lewis Lipsitz, the journal has become a cornerstone of excellence in aging research, recognized for its rigor, reach and influence. I look forward to working closely with GSA, our editorial team, and the broad community of scholars to maintain this legacy while expanding the journal’s global presence and ensuring that our work continues to address the pressing ethical and scientific issues of our time.”
