Communications in Transportation Research (COMMTR), a top-ranked international journal in transportation research, announces its transition to full open access publishing on SciOpen, the advanced academic platform of Tsinghua University Press. This move, effective from Volume 6 (2026), marks a strategic step toward greater accessibility, visibility, and global collaboration in transportation science.
After completing Volume 5 (2025) with Elsevier, COMMTR will be published by Tsinghua University Press on SciOpen, a platform dedicated to supporting high-quality, open research dissemination. The journal’s new official website will be hosted at:

About Communications in Transportation Research
Launched in 2021 and co-sponsored by Tsinghua University and the China Intelligent Transportation Systems Association, COMMTR publishes high-impact original research and reviews on emerging transportation systems.
