Times Higher Education (THE), a UK-based magazine specializing in higher education, has released the results of the Times Higher Education Interdisciplinary Science Rankings 2026.
Okayama University of Science was ranked tied for 23rd overall in Japan and tied for fifth among private universities nationwide, following institutions such as Keio University and Tokyo University of Science.
This ranking, conducted for the second time, aims to visualize universities’ contributions to and initiatives in interdisciplinary scientific research that transcend traditional academic boundaries.
Among private universities in Wester Japan, Okayama University of Science was tied for first place, alongside institutions such as Kindai University and Kansai University.
