Korea University's College of Medicine and Armed Forces Capital Hospital signed an MOU for the development of public medical care and enhancement of medical training

 

At 11 AM on April 2, Korea University's College of Medicine (Dean Pyun Sung-bom) and Armed Forces Capital Hospital (Director Seok Woong) signed an MOU in the Korea University College of Medicine Main Building Conference Room for the development of public health and medical care, as well as the enhancement of medical training.

 

This MOU aims to establish a mutual cooperation system between Korea University's College of Medicine and Armed Forces Capital Hospital to foster future medical personnel and strengthen public health and medical care.

 

The two institutions plan to promote cooperation in various fields, including joint research and personnel training for the advancement of public health; the establishment of a research consultation and academic cooperation system in medicine and medical convergence; the development and operation of a customized joint educational curriculum for medical students; and support for military medicine lectures in different majors for pre-med students.

 

With the accumulated medical training and research capabilities of Korea University's College of Medicine and extensive clinical experience in trauma care and military medicine from Armed Forces Capital Hospital, they plan to continue mutual cooperation. Also, based on their expertise as a military medical training institution, Armed Forces Capital Hospital will provide practical training opportunities to medical students.

 

Dean Pyun Sung-bom said “this MOU will be an important opportunity for public healthcare and medical education to achieve complementary development. We will further extend our utmost efforts to foster excellent medical talents through close cooperation with Armed Forces Capital Hospital.”

 

Director Seok Woong said “this MOU is more than just an exchange between two institutions; it is a cooperative model that connects clinical fields with practical education. We will continue to dedicate ourselves to achieving sustainability in public health and medical care while systematically nurturing medical experts."

 

With this MOU, Korea University's College of Medicine will enhance field-oriented medical training and continuously strengthen research capabilities in medical education based on Armed Forces Capital Hospital's clinical experiences in trauma and military medicine.
