VALENCIA, Spain, June 9–10, 2026  Phage therapy is entering a decisive phase. After decades of research and a growing number of clinical successes, the question is no longer whether bacteriophages can treat bacterial infections. The challenge now is whether healthcare systems, regulators, industry and clinicians can transform this promising approach into a practical and accessible therapeutic reality. At a time when antimicrobial resistance (AMR) is recognized as one of the greatest threats to global health, international experts will gather at Targeting Phage Therapy 2026 to discuss what is needed to move phage therapy from isolated successes to widespread clinical implementation.
