Hosted by People’s Medical Publishing House, the meeting brought together top stakeholders including senior publishing executives and Skin’s founding Editors-in-Chief Prof. Xinghua Gao and Prof. Yong Cui.

Experts noted that Skin will fill a critical gap as a high-quality international platform for Chinese dermatologists to publish original, China-rooted research. The journal will adhere to rigorous academic standards, prioritize rapid global dissemination, and cover the full spectrum of dermatology and venereology. Key outcomes included a strategic cooperation agreement between three leading institutions, expert workshops on journal development, and the official appointment of all editorial board members.

The work titled “2026 Symposium on High-Level Journal Development in Dermatology & Inaugural Meeting of Skin’s Editorial Board Convened by People’s Medical Publishing House” was published in Skin on April 1, 2026.
