image: Competition experiments provide comparable reaction-rate data, while three-dimensional electronic information around each ketone captures how molecular structure controls reactivity. A machine-learning model trained only on simple molecules then predicts both where a more complex molecule containing two ketone groups reacts and which side reacts.
