video: As we approach the holidays, many factors can increase the occurrence of heartburn in those that may not experience it regularly. Today, AGA released a video to better inform the public of signs, causes and remedies for heartburn that can help people avoid the burn this holiday season. Heartburn is the main symptom of a condition known as gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), or acid reflux.
This video supports GERD Awareness Week, which takes place Nov. 20-26. It is no coincidence that GERD Awareness Week overlaps with Thanksgiving, a time when the public consumes larger meals than usual, which can lead to heartburn. Join us in raising awareness of what heartburn is and how to prevent it by sharing this video.
