image: Another growing wildfire, named the Monument, joins the Arizona landscape. The Monument fire, first reported on June 19, spans about 26,956 acres, according to InciWeb. Inciweb, the "Incident Information System" website, (www.inciweb.org) is an interagency all-risk incident information management system. Meanwhile the Wallow fire reached the half a million mark in total acreage, and Horseshoe Two containment is expected within the week. On June 20, 2011, smoke from the Wallow fire crossed to Luna, New Mexico, causing evacuations, Wildfire Today reported. The Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) on NASA's Aqua satellite acquired this image of the fires on June 19, 2011 at 20:10 UTC (4:10 p.m. EDT). Active fire areas appear as red dots, and smoke from the three fires is blowing to the northeast. The Monument fire is located southeast of the Wallow North fire.
